El Calafate
After flying in to FTE, we spent a few days longer than expected in El Calafate due to delayed baggage. The town is small but offers a nature preserve, the Glaciarium, and day trips to the Perito Moreno glacier along with plenty of outdoor clothes shopping.
El Chalten
Just a 2 hour bus ride from El Calafate, the tiny town of El Chalten sits within El Glaciares National Park. We spent 5 days enjoying the accessible day hikes and an overnight trip to see the southern Patagonian ice field.

The W
Our Patagonia trip ended with 4 days of spectacular hiking in Torres del Paine National Park. We completed the W trek which winds through the southern part of the park in a "W" shape allowing you to leave your packs at camp for many miles of out and back hiking.
